Dear Parents and Guardians,

     I hope you had a fantastic weekend. Last week, we continued our last unit of inquiry, How the World Works. Students independently researched an inventor and created a piece to share their knowledge with the class.

    In math students learned all about 4 digit place value.

​

    In Reading students did an author study on an author of their choice.

​

   In writing students finished writing their personal narrative and began publishing.

​

    Homework folders went home today. I did not include a reading passage. Students may read any book they would like for 15-20 minutes a night.

​

    Please remember that your child is allowed a water bottle at their desk. I ask that they only bring water in the classroom. We have already had multiple spills, and luckily it has been water every time.  

​

    

    A healthy snack is allowed as well. Please make sure the snack you are sending is healthy so that it nourishes our students brains so they can learn and grow! 

​

Our learning celebration is this Thursday at 10:30. I hope to see all of you there.
